😅Whew—April came in like a whirlwind and left us with dust on our boots, full hearts, and a garage sale tan to prove it! We kicked off the month with the county fair, where Lilith showed our goat Judas. That boy surprised us all. After nursing an abscess and debating whether he’d make the trip, not only did he show—he placed THIRD in his class! Not bad for a goat with a stubborn streak. 🐐

Lilith also competed in the calf scramble and even though she didn’t catch one, she had a blast and is already dreaming about trying again next year. That’s just how she rolls—resilient, determined, and full of heart. She’s officially caught the show bug, and it’s only getting bigger from here. 🏆

While she’s resting up from fair life, we’re gearing up for a full summer of jackpot shows, prepping Judas and Peter (yep, both goats are sticking around), and picking out two new goats—maybe a flashy dapple or a deep black one to change things up. Oh, and we’re adding a heifer! A Maine Anjou, is what we have our sights on. Big dreams, big hair, and big cattle. Haw Yee -N- Texas style. 🐄

Back at home, Preston is busier than ever with Prime Time. The phone’s ringing, the calendar’s filling up, and he’s thinking about adding a management system to keep things smooth as he grows. I really wish he would, it sure would help keep things within the lines. I mean he’s already got lucky to have his wife be his professional marketing team, which I’m pretty good at if I say so myself.  A management team though, that’s the BIG TIME and will definitely help with the continued growth for his company. With everything happening, we’re learning that the hustle doesn’t stop—but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We got to have a garage sale last weekend to get some of the spring clutter out. Needless to say, we’re all feeling a bit lighter. Excited to see what May is going to bring aside from Preston’s birthday. And you know what May means, school will be out before we know it.

Life after the fair feels like a deep breath, but summer is knocking y’all. And we’re ready and here for all of it. 👍🏼
